This unique training offers an interplay of myofascial meridians with differentiated exercises and movement sequences that involve meridians entirely.Inspired by Slings Myofascial Training® by art of motion®.

  • Intermediate/Advanced level & start to offer more challenging exercises for those who are after something a little more. This fused class gives lots of different options to suit both Intermediate & Advanced levels & is designed to progress knowledge & strength. Key concepts on proper abdominal activation (taught in Pilates Essential & Remedial Pilates) & good core strength have to be grasped before making the progression to this class Continuous flow of each exercise series also provides a cardiovascular workout.

  • Pilates Essentials are the basics, the foundation movements that are incorporated in a regular flow and props practice, combined with essential exercises from Pilates teaching methodology. Adding props like soft massage balls, trigger points balls, exercise ring and roller definitely recommended for movers who loved to be challenged.

  • The interplay and collaboration of muscles and fascia provide internal support, energy efficiency and adaptability to different life circumstances. The combination of Slings and Pilates optimizes structural balance in the body. The result is improved athletic performance and functionality in daily life. The aim is to enhance movement freedom because movement freedom improves quality of life!

FAQs about Pilates Sessions

  • If you are interested in mat classes (Pilates Matwork, Pilates & Slings Myofascial Training), you can start with a casual class pass or purchase of 10 classes. Please arrive 5 minutes before your first class to complete a new client questionnaire. If you are recovering from injuries or post partum please contact Claudia to arrange initial assessment /body reading before taking up group mat sessions.

  • We recommend comfortable clothing in which you can move freely. Pilates socks with grips along the sole are available for purchase on arrival. However sessions are taught barefoot on the mat.

  • For beginners, it is wise to start with one Pilates session a week to see how your body feels after your Pilates session. If you are quite fit, you can try starting with two classes a week. To get the best results, it is recommend to do a variety of sessions so that you are continually challenging your muscles, therefore Create Movement offers a variety of different classes with varying levels of intensity.

  • Pilates can be cardiovascular workout if your are at intermediate/ advanced level and have no injuries. Pilates is great for low- impact strengthening of the muscles, development of core stability, toning and increasing flexibility. However if you have an injury, the focus should be on rehabilitation instead of calorie burning. Our Pilates intermediate and advanced session provide more challenging sequences which requires experience in Pilates / Yoga.

  • Pilates is a great way to maintain fitness throughout pregnancy and to rehabilitate after labour. It is important to strengthen the pelvic floor, buttocks, legs, and arms but one must be careful with which abdominal muscles are being activated. It is vital to consult a physician as to when you may return to exercise after giving birth as the time will vary depending on the nature of the birth.

Since there are many modifications that need to be made to exercises during pregnancy and many exercise series that cannot be performed, our regular group reformer Pilates classes are not suitable for pregnant and postnatal clients. At Create Movement we highly recommend that you schedule a private Pilates session so we may customise a workout for you that will include supportive props for mat exercises.

  • Because of the nature of my business, various locations I am only here during class times or private sessions during which they are occupied with clients. We ask that you book in online ahead of time for one of our new client packages. If you are coming to a group class as a new client, please arrive 5 minutes prior to class start time to fill in your new client contact information and health history questionnaire.

Have any more questions? Please contact us to book your assessment /private session, let us guide you to find the most suitable mat class.
