Beyond the need of getting a fast fix on the body’ system.

If you’re reading this blog post, I bet you’re somewhat wealthy, in a way that’s nothing to do with your bank account. Possibly you enjoy good health. Maybe you want to find out more about movement, healing, retreats, or you are in need of finding new ways of being well. You are curious about how to “fix” the body’s system.

Do you enjoy good health? If not, do you appreciate that in some ways that your body has been holding up and it is actually a miracle that the body does function, whether we are aware of it or not?

All the above questions lead to seeing the small blessings, and accordingly to many great thinkers, number one key to happiness is gratitude.

Ok, this might not help each individual to look beyond what needs to be addressed in order to heal the body’s system but it certainly helps to be grateful. It makes us feel better, or whole.

The terms “fix” or the sentence “I hope you fix me up” have been heard

by me many times, in my environment working as a Pilates teacher. In the early years of my teaching, it was certainly a balm for the soul when people returned, full of praise because their back pain was fixed or migraines reduced. Oh, how much I loved it when someone pointed out that they had received a fix.

Now, over years and with more experience in teaching and other healing modalities, I prefer that the person tells me that their toolbox is filled with useful strategies to deal with certain parts of their body, so that their improvement in health and well- being over time, has been given.

I truly believe and have experienced that, stress relief, postural balance, vitality, and health related benefit don’t come from simply finding the perfect practitioner to fix the body. The interaction of body, mind and spirit, which is there for all to see and explore, comes about through the harmony and reciprocity of the terms we use, whether medical, anatomical, spiritual or psychological.

How do we perceive our bodies?

Good question right?

The running back and forth to various practitioners, gym classes, movement sessions alone will not bring the desired fix.

Each body has a story to tell. I would suggest that what we are looking for is inside us.

If we are able to listen to our body, becoming aware of our thoughts, actions, belief systems, and boundaries we are already halfway to reaching the point beyond the need of getting our bodies fixed.

Getting fixed doesn’t mean necessary we are going to feel better. It may be only a short-term solution or another bandage to cover things up.

What I need to say is well-being is like a recipe, the right amount and good mix of a few very good ingredients to bring about the desired outcome.

If you have a selection of things that feed your soul, you will be able to open your eyes to a new world around you and take on the journey to heal yourself.

Here are some modalities I can suggest which are the best medicine for the body’s systems:

  • Movement.

  • Breath workHobbies

  • Spiritual Practice

  • Holistic and spiritual services like: Meditation, Forest bathing, Crystal and Energy Healing, Reiki, Kinesiology and Acupuncture.

So, my apologies, now that you have been reading right to the end only to find that an I haven’t come up with a magic pill for anything.

Yes, that’s correct. To be able to get to the source of the issues and injuries of all kinds, we need to acknowledge that whatever it will is, it will be a journey not a quick fix.

Too often we are time -poor, pressured, or disconnected with ourselves so it is easier to swallow the pill or look for the next practitioner.

We have to trust that there is the right time for everything, and be open to different healing modalities or practitioners.

When are we done, and finally fixed?

Every day of our life is a physical experience on this planet. We experience emotions, fear, and other humans with their own agendas, and each of us is presented with new opportunities.

I invite you to look into your inner self and allow time and space for healing.

Accept your journey.

If you want to work with me, take your time to read through my profile and service.  I would love to guide you through the inner and outer world of your own self. Explore and enjoy, taking up the journey is entirely up to you!
