Love your middlemost.

What is middlemost? One day I was curious about the word “core” and while searching for its meaning, I came across a new word: “middlemost”.

What is core in Latin? The English word comes from “cor”, which means heart. Learning this literally makes my heart sing. As a Pilates teacher I use the word often. When thinking about meditation, can we say that it brings us back to our centre, our heart ,our middlemost? It is certainly a beautiful way to connect to ourself, bringing grounding and bliss, channelling the divine.

Diving deeper into the meaning of middlemost, through my studies in Pellowah Healing and Reiki, I wanted to learn more about the skills and art of finding calm in the midst of chaos. I found a wonderful book called “The Path to Heart” by Jack Kornfield.

For many years I have taken time and effort to teach clients in private settings and group classes and I have run workshops about the core, centre, myofascial core, powerhouse or whatever word suits the situation best. I am always looking out for more research, training and courses on offer to expand my tool box.

I find this quote very appealing:

"Self - compassion is the earth into which the seeds of change can be planted"

If these seeds of change are planted into our middlemost, our core, we may reach a point of sensing the orchestral work of our bodies.

This requires the trust and mindfulness of all concerned.

We need to learn to be aware of the role of our body parts, the diaphragm, the heart, the gut and the brain. Our thinking of the pelvic floor shouldn’t be limited to just switching on muscles. Its role is more. It leads to a deep connection that can stabilise us and give us a true lift from the inside. The more we learn the deeper our understanding can be.

As for me, my energy field is expanding through showing the person on the mat, compassion. I aim to give personalized instructions to reach the point of sensing the most amazing body systems working in harmony and to achieve the inner peace and unity that can be experienced in or after mediation, guided reflection or prayers. I want to share with you, my passion for learning and joy in finding out more about our wonderful bodies and their inner workings.
