Discover Clues for best Retreat time
Amazing experiences at retreats often result in an incredible release of tension that we hold in our bodies and mind. We feel the gentle unwinding, leading to finding peace and solitude, while being supported and guided by the retreat team.
From personal experience, I feel that there are different stages we go through:
The happiness of learning and improving in our physical and spiritual practice, the experience of peeling away layers and releasing what kept us stuck for a long time and the realisation of how much we needed this divine, nurturing time for ourselves.
The first 4-day / 4 - night retreat that I ran was truly an amazing experience.
Five years later down the road, many things have changed in my life, but I am able to recall this very special time, the special ladies and the incredible profound healing some of the women experienced in the Hinterland of Northern NSW.
There is an enormous number of women, who struggling through changes in life are also trying to juggle too much. This can easily lead to chronic fatigue, burn out, anxiety or simply being overwhelmed.
I wouldn’t like to share this blog post without mentioning the wonderful ladies I have had the pleasure of meeting, at retreats where I helped to guide them on their retreat journey. We had such fun. One night they're surprised me and turned up in their pyjamas because I mentioned after the meditation that you literally can roll straight into your bed. They listened.
And of course the lovely ladies I met on Retreats where I attended as a retreat guest. My heart warms instantly. I wish I had attended retreats earlier in my life.
Everyone is on a personal journey.
The retreat experience can be to work through physical limitations but most of the time I also witness how the retreat journey unfolds beyond the physical. On day two there will be the increase of interest in a private movement session or healing therapy session.
I am now able to offer Pellowah and Crystal Therapy sessions which are incredible sessions for clarity, soothing and grounding.
I love movement. There is movement diversity on offer, and I can see postural changes over the course of a couple of days and the rise in body awareness is incredible. So beautiful and rewarding to watch.
I can say with confidence I never go with having a good handle on the selection of a great team of chefs. I love food. I have been in the fine dining industry and have hospitality background running through my veins so there is no shortcut, when it comes to food and selecting a great retreat chef.
